At this moment we are seeking to employ:

 

1) A Naval Architect & Marine Engineer to join the Technical Department as Technical Assistant/Coordinator.

 The new recruit will:

  • Maintain & update computerized records (Danaos software) of:
  • Class Surveys & Certificates
  • Superintendents’ inspections
  • LSA/FFE inspections
  • Vibration monitoring & infrared inspections
  • Hull cleaning & propeller polishing inspections
  • Outstanding items
  • Lub Oil Analyses
  • Monitor the vessels performance and maintenance activities by screening technical records and reports
  • Monitor “Risk Assessment” and “Management of Change” cases
  • Participate in special projects (conversions, modifications, implementation of new regulations, plan approval of Newbuildings, etc.)

The ideal candidate:

  • Holds a University degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering
  • Is fluent in spoken and written English
  • Has a good command of MS Office programs: Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is a keen team player who can multi-task in a dynamic environment

 

2) An Assistant Superintendent Engineer to join the Technical Department

The new recruit will:

  • Provide assistance to Superintendent Engineer(s)
  • Monitor vessels’ operations, performance and maintenance
  • Attend class inspections, drydockings & repairs and special projects

The ideal candidate:

  • holds an MSc in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering
  • is fluent in English
  • has strong communication & IT skills
  • has an eye for detail and a methodical approach to work, and
  • enjoys being part of a dynamic team

A few years experience in a similar position will be considered an advantage.

 

3) A Junior Lawyer to join the Legal Department.

The ideal candidate:

  • Holds a Law degree from a Greek or foreign University and/or a Postgraduate degree in Maritime law
  • Has a few years experience in a Law firm, a P&I Club or a Legal/Claims department of a (Ship Management) company
  • Is fluent in Greek and English
  • Is able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Is organized with a keen eye for detail and good analytical skills
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Written tests will form part of the selection procedure.
